Along the route, you'll make a stop in Rastoke, a picturesque settlement that is known for its quaint water mills. Its name roughly translates as "the branching of rivers", and it is located where the Slunjčica River splits and forms the Korana River. You'll have time here to stretch your legs and wander around the pretty village, taking photos of the historic buildings.
Hop back on the bus to finish the rest of your journey, and you'll soon arrive at the majestic Plitvice Lakes. With the help of a map, your guide will point out the sixteen lakes and the cascades that connect them, explaining the different routes that you'll be able to explore to make the most of your day trip.
Upon arrival at Plitvice Lakes, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Listed Site, enjoy a walk around the crystal clear lakes, take a train to a stunning waterfall, and go for a boat ride across the lake. Spend the day exploring the park and soak up the picturesque and peaceful atmosphere. In the late afternoon, hop back onboard the van for the return journey to Zagreb.
